After your primary fitting visit, we will mail your dental impression to a dental laboratory that will create the permanent dental crown, and we will plan you another visit to apply the crown once we have received it from the lab. During this application visit, Dr. Anthony Shaia will evaluate the fit and shade of the permanent crown to evaluate whether it’s a great fit for you. (Since dental crowns are so important, we have to ensure that they’re of the highest quality. Only the greatest for our clients!) If the final crown passes our evaluation, we will numb your tooth a second time and cement the dental crown into your oral cavity. We may also set up a later visit down the road to make sure your new dental crown is performing well.
